BFRO #12088: Daytime sighting by teenagers on the edge of Carmacks

I was about 14 years old, when me and my friend went to go visit my mom in carmacks, YT. My mom didnt know i smoked so we snuck accross the graveled road into the bushes to share a smoke. We decided to sit in on a trail in the bush that led down to a little lake with me facing the road and her the into the bush. As we were sitting we both said we had smelt somthing really funny. It reminded me of a burning dump. I started to tease her, saying she needed to take a shower. Then she said there's a sasquatch, I thought she was joking. She got up and started to run as I looked behind and saw a huge furry man run across the trail. His waist was as tall as me, so I didn't get a chance to look up, all i wanted to do was run. The funny thing is though is that every time I walk by this lake, and I can hear (this is only late at night), someone taking steps with mine.If I stop really quickly, you can hear somthing stop right after me. Some friends didnt believe me so i asked them to walk with me, and sure enough the same thing happened and i've turned them into beleivers. Bigfoot sightings are very common in the Yukon. Ive heard of many stories. My auntie says that she was camping and she heard somthing in the bush and she threw a rock and the rock came back to her. My grandma says they like to mimic other people which might explain it following my footsteps. My mother said the same thing happened to her when she ran away from home and was staying in the bush. She said she could always hear somthing in the bush following her. This leads me to beleive that maybe they follow some families generation to generation.
