BFRO #26050: Memory told of an inquisitive sasquatch sighted near Port Hardy

I was fishing with a friend and his pops about 45 minutes from Port Hardy. At the time, my friends dad was receiving a ticket from the fish and wildlife fuzz. With our fishing privileges being cut short we decided to go explore. We walked up the top bank of the river down a trail. We then found a sandy slope about 15 ft high with trees and bush at the top. We started throwing rocks at the sand, creating small sand avalanches or sand slides? That's when we both heard a noise above us and both looked up. We both made eye contact with a hairy human looking creature with white or grey looking hair at the forehead.The eyes and nose were similar to an apes and the rest of its body was covered in light brown and long hair. The creature was perched over a stump with a large upper body and large hands. Before we realized what we were seeing, the creature went back into the treeline. We finally looked at each other with the realization of what we just seen and started running. We jumped into the pickup and told the adults we just seen a bear and it was Big! I don't think the creature was a threat to us, and if anything it was just being curious.
