I grew up in Washington but move to AZ.in my 40s in 2007 work got really slow In AZ .Washington had just had a big freeze for like 2 weeks so I came back to Washington to work for a friend doing restoration on all the broken pipes every one was having from the big winter blast .I was staying with my friend and other worker's that had also came to help out, he lived 27 miles up hyw.6 west of Chehalis in a very small town of Doty one night, I was driving back to the house in the rain it had warmed up and rained for a week or so had not seen many cars on the road but pretty common, had my high beams on and was probably going faster then I should in this part of the road there is some sharp turns and when I came around one I saw something glistening in my lights in the road reaction was to hit my brakes. And as I got closer maybe 40 yards l saw this thing it was laying in my lane couldn't believe my eyes it was like face down and had jet black hair 4 to 6 in long as I keep braking and trying to not hit this thing it raises up and looked at me I will never forget that is in my mind every day It wasn't real big the size of a large man covered in hair. I had spent 40 years of my life hunting and packing with my horses it was no bear it was very ape like couldn't see its eye's because of the wet hair hanging down I slammed on my brakes and went around it very close to hitting it, its nose and mouth was chimp like and had big arms and legs its movement was so man like I ask myself all the time what it was and why was it laying face down in the road I don't know maybe it was sick or had hard time with the winter blast that just ended was it drinking water? I don't know
