This was not a visual incident. My twelve year old daughter was with me. We can't explain what we heard. We were on Curtis Road near Hobbs Bridge north of Taft,TN. Elk River runs under the Hobbs Bridge. The old dilapidated Hobbs Bridge is still partly standing beside the more modern bridge. It was the last week in October, 2015. It was around 10AM. My daughter and I had decided to park the car and take a country walk. This area has farming fields, land that is being cleared, and much forest. At one point I picked up a heavy and thick stick and hit a tree as hard as I could. I said, "Maybe we will hear Bigfoot tree tapping." I was partially joking and partially not joking, since I had been watching Bigfoot videos lately. Within moments we heard what could only have been a Bigfoot. It sounded like a mixture between a howl, a scream, and an elephant. When we later listened to a Bigfoot recording from North Carolina, it sounded the same. I am a country girl and I have NEVER heard anything like this. The sound was so loud and seemed to be maybe about fifty yards away. The hair on the back of my neck and arms stood up! I dropped the big stick I had used to hit the tree and looked at my daughter. She asked, "What in the world was that?" Before I could form an answer, we heard it again. We began walking back to the car and as soon as we got in the car we rolled the windows down and were about to drive off when we heard the loudest tree knocking. It was a couple of knocks and then silence and then a couple of more. I remember what my knocking on the tree sounded like but his sounded ten times louder. We drove off and since I was in the safety of my car I wished I could have looked back and actually have seen a Bigfoot. I could not get this off my mind. Later I went back and never heard anything but found in a field beside the Elk river two carcasses that appeared to be adult deer that were torn apart with bones in various places. I still can't figure out what would kill two deer at one time and why were the bones strewn in various places.
