BFRO #79359: Deer hunter reports loud wood knocks where PCT passes Hyatt Lake

📝 Description

Location: backside of Hyatt Lake while deer hunting. Had large object crash through the woods running away from me. Stopped and 15 second later heard tree knocks from the same direction. As I left the area and began walking on the main road back to my truck (30 minute walk) there were more wood knocks directly behind in the thick forest. I had my rifle up and was looking through the scope but saw nothing. Estimated distance behind me less then 100 yards. Scared me.
