BFRO #74290: Whoops and knocks heard by four locals camping north of Bristol

It was approximately late July early Aug, I can�t recall but was summer 1987. At the Burlington Bristol Townline in Connecticut there was a woodsy area behind a Cumberland Farms store we used to go up there camping or have cake parties. One night three friends and I went up there to camp for the night. We arrived approximately 6 PM. We kept hearing what sounded like with knocks. We shrugged it off thinking there was other people up there. Approximately 11 o�clock that night we started hearing what sounded like whooping sounds. One of the friends Mike that I was with was an avid hunter. His father has been taking him hunting since he was young and even though he was 16 he spent a lot of time in the woods with his dad. He was trying to figure out what that sound was or what animal made it. He could not figure out any animal that made that sound. Again we shrugged it off and chalked it up to maybe a couple of our friends are messing with us. We decided to go to bed and we kept hearing somebody walking around our camping area. We all climbed out of the tents and started yelling at our friends that they�re not scaring us they might as well just go home. We continue to hear noises of somebody walking around for about 30 minutes. We just assumed it was them and we went back into the tent to go to sleep. About 20 minutes later my friend Mike grabs my arm and said holy cow�s someone just walked by and stepped on my hand as he was real close to the edge of the tent. The four of us were in one tent so it was a little tight I said well maybe it was an animal Mike. Maybe everything we�ve been hearing was the animal. He said no this was a foot, a really big foot. The two boys were scared to get out of the tent so us two girls got out of the tent and looked around. We didn�t see anything but we did hear something heavy walking very quickly away from our campsite. Never did we ever consider it being a big foot. It was just not something we even thought of, until years later when we realized oh my God remember that night we went camping !? That was a bigfoot! We were young and we never even really heard anything about a big foot back then
